Brickomanie - Convention and LEGO® Exhibition

(Pronounced Brick-O-Manny)

Convention of LEGO® fans

What is the Brickomanie convention?

Brickomanie is the big party celebrating the little bricks!

Organized by LEGO® fans for LEGO® fans, Brickomanie is the one and only LEGO® fan convention in Québec, and the perfect opportunity to meet other fans of the little brick in a friendly and welcoming environment. During the two days and the evening only accessible to attendees, you will be able to share your passion for LEGO® bricks with other fans, exchange building tips and tricks with them, and discover new ways to complete your projects.

A LEGO® fan convention like Brickomanie is also an opportunity to take part in contests, attend workshops and participate in all kinds of activities related to LEGO® bricks, and all this in a fun and happy ambiance!

Finally, the two-days public exhibition provides the opportunity to present your creations to the general public and chat with our visitors. You'll see: it's nice to receive compliments on your creations!

To recap, if you are a LEGO® fan, Brickomanie is a must-attend event for you. This is the perfect opportunity to meet, exchange and have fun with other LEGO® fans, share your creations… in short, to live a unique and memorable experience!

Description of activities

Opening Ceremony

The event that marks the launch of our convention activities. Come and meet the organizers as well as most of the other delegates.

"Welcome Speed Build" Game

Do you think you are fast? It's up to you to build your welcome set as quickly as possible. There will be prizes!

"Hidden Build" Game

Can you build a LEGO® set following the instructions... but gropingly and without seeing it? Let's see if you have eyes at your fingertips!

"Building With A Service Dog" Game

Find a teammate who can guide you through building a LEGO® set while you are blindfolded!

"Build in a Bag" Game

Build a LEGO® set... but in a closed bag! Can you do it faster than the others?

"Building With Gloves" Game

You know the Christmas game where you unwrap a present with mittens? Well then, good luck building a LEGO® set with gloves!

Canada First Bricks' Warehouse Tour

Want to see how the LARGEST seller on Bricklink in Canada operates? We encourage you to carpool for this unique tour!

"Three-headed Build" Game

How many AFOLs does it take to build a LEGO® set? Three: one to read the instructions, one to find the parts, and one to build it following the instructions of the other two! Find yourself two partners and do it faster than the others!

MOC Photography Workshop

Want your MOCs to get noticed on social media? You need some really good photos! Sébastien Racicot, whose job it is to take photographs of objects, will give you the simple tricks so that your creations are more real than true in your pictures.

Garage sale

Got some LEGO® sets or pieces you're no longer interested in? Bring them with you and offer them – at a reasonable price – to other delegates during this activity. Also bring some cash, in case you find something. The surpluses of some make the happiness of others!

Dirty Brickster!

Wrap a GOOD LEGO® gift that you paid at least $50 (take advantage of specials and liquidations) and bring it to participate in this special gift exchange! Hosted by the unrivaled André Francoeur!

Parts Draft

We find big cheap LEGO® sets, we buy them, we open them and the participants, divided into small groups, take turns choosing one or more pieces. A great time to chat with other fans while filling your inventory!

NOTE: you must pay a supplement when registering to participate in this activity.

"In the dark" Segment

We turn off the lights (as much as possible) and let the creations and models shine with their own lighting! You will see some creations in a completely different light!

Saturday Evening Attendees' Dinner

We keep you for dinner after the first day of exhibition! Share your anecdotes of this first day with the public while enjoying the meal offered by Brickomanie, then stay for the many activities that follow, including the gifts ceremony! One of the favorite moments of many of our attendees.

Induction Ceremony in the Temple de la Petite Brique

Since it has been 3 years since we did Brickomanie, we have some catching up to do! This Saturday night tradition, started by our late Jonathan Bussière, is an opportunity to pay tribute to those who make our fan community better.

Big Quiz

Think you know EVERYTHING about the LEGO® company and products? Come and test your knowledge with our awesome quiz! You start with a team, but like in the movie Highlander, there can only be one!!!

Closing Ceremony

At the end of the last day, we'll hand out our awards (edition rookie, event AFOL, organizers honorable mention), we'll take the group photo and we'll say "Until next time"!
